After the cancellation of the initial round of ASBK Championship, ProGP Racing Junior Team is now finally ready to debut in the Australian competition, with the first round which will be held at Winton Motor Raceway this weekend and the team led by Jake Skate can\u2019t wait to take part in the event.<\/p>\n
An important and bad news is the injury of Archie McDonald, who broke his leg during a cycle accident while training and is forced to miss the first round of the Championship, with the target to be in the full form starting from the next ones, as the situation will be evaluated step by step, preserving rider\u2019s health.<\/p>\n
For what will now be the new Round 1, at Winton, the 16-year-old Reece Oughtred will jump on board the ProGP Racing Junior Team\u2019s bike, being the rider choosen by team manager Jake Skate to replace Archie for this race, with the clear target to be competitive and fight for the first positions in the very ASBK debut for the team.<\/p>\n
Oughtred will be at the start of his second season in the ASBK Supersport 300 class, after competing in 2020, finishing in the 8th place, as well as riding in the Oceania Junior Cup, 7th overall, after having made the jump from R3 Cup, raced in 2019.<\/p>\n
The young australian will give his best as well as the whole ProGP Racing Junior Team, with team owner Omar Menghi looking at the progresses halfway around the world in the one which will be the most important year of team\u2019s life, competing in three different championship with the clear target to make the best and get satisfactions, starting from this weekend\u2019s ASBK round 1 at Winton Raceway.<\/p>\n
