PROGP RACING JUNIOR TEAM’S PROJECT GOES ON IN 2022 WITH CAMERON SWAIN

After a successful 2021 season, the ProGP Racing Junior Team’s journey continues, with the solid partnership between Omar Menghi and Jake Skate which will see a new page in 2022, as the Australian Team of ProGP Racing will lineup a new rider in the ASBK Supersport 300 Championship, the 13 years old Cameron Swain.

The new addition to the team will race on board the ProGP Racing Junior Team’s Yamaha R3, with the target to confirm the growth made by the team and its rider Archie McDonald in 2021, as the squad of Jake Skate was able to win the last round of the season both in Supersport 300 and Yamaha R3 Cup and missed up the title fight only due to Archie’s injury before the start of the season.

Cameron Swain, 2021 Oceania Junior Cup’s Champion, already had the opportunity to ride the R3 prepared by Jake Skate and his team, on the official tests at Phillip Island these days, finishing as the fastest rider overall, showing a great pace and a very good feeling with the new bike, working well with the team and all of its members.

So for ProGP Racing, which already confirmed its riders in the World Championship Gabriele Mastroluca and Ioannis Peristeras and soon will announce the project for 2021 ProGP Racing Junior Team’s rider Archie McDonald, this will be the second year in the ASBK with its Junior Team, once again with a very young australian on board, a promising rider with a bright future ahead as Cameron Swain is.

Omar Menghi and Jake Skate’s project will continue throughout the 2022 season, as ProGP Racing will supply full support to the Australian Team, once again confirming its targets also outside Europe, as the italian team will enter the third year as a permanent team in the World Championship with even more ambitious for next years.

He’s a very promising rider, won the Championship he raced last year and he was already very fast in the tests, so we just have to continue this way for the next times. I’m also happy to confirm that Archie McDonald, our 2021 rider, will come to Europe as soon we will announce his project. It’s something very meaningful for me as this means our ProGP Racing Junior Team works the way it should and I can’t wait to see Archie here and Cameron racing in Australia with our bikes”

Jake Skate – ProGP Racing Junior Team Manager: “I would like to welcome Cameron to the ProGP family for the 2022 season. Cameron has achieved exceptional results last year in the blucru Ocenia Junior Cup and I’m excited to watch him grow inside our team environment and thrilled to have him on board for the season. Cameron has already shown he can adapt quickly to our motorcycle showing great potential finishing fastest at the Official ASBK test at Phillip Island this week. So I can’t wait for more and I’m happy to continue running this project the way we are doing”

Cameron Swain – ProGP Racing Junior Team Rider: “I’m very excited to join ProGP Racing Junior Team for the 2022 season and be able to race in the ASBK Supersport 300 this year. I started working with the team in the official tests and the feeling is great, we were fast so overall it was a very positive first time, as we could finish with the best time of the two days. I’m very happy about the team, we worked very well and perfectly, every session I improved my times and my feeling so I’m really positive about the test and this season.
